Indians on the mound:
Left-hander C.C. Sabathia's start lasted all of two pitches. He was nailed in the left forearm by a line drive off the bat of Johnson and immediately came out of the game. He went to Winter Haven Hospital for X-rays. Former Blue Jays prospect Tom Mastny, named to the Tribe's Opening Day bullpen earlier in the day, relieved Sabathia and worked 2 2/3 innings, giving up a run on two hits. Left-hander Aaron Fultz worked 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Jays on the mound:
Left-hander Gustavo Chacin went five innings, giving up a pair of runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Right-hander Jeremy Accardo worked two scoreless innings in which all he allowed was a hit and a walk.
Grapefruit League records:
Indians 15-12-1; Jays 10-13-4.
The Indians will head out to Disney World to face the Braves at 1:05 p.m. ET on Thursday. Right-hander Jake Westbrook will get the start.
The Jays will be at home in Dunedin against the Yankees. Relievers Shaun Marcum, Jason Frasor, Casey Janssen and Brian Tallet will all pitch in the 7:05 p.m. game.
