Blue Jays Claim Brummett


The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have claimed RHP TYSON BRUMMETT off waivers from the Philadelphia Phillies.

BRUMMETT, 28, spent the majority of his season with Reading (AA) and Lehigh Valley (AAA) posting a 5-6 record with a 3.24 ERA in 44 appearances (eight starts). The 6-0, 185 lb. right-hander made his Major League debut this season on Oct. 3 at WAS, going 0.2 innings and striking out two. In six minor league seasons Brummett owns a 26-47 record with a 4.52 ERA.

The Blue Jays now have 40 players on the 40-man roster.
