Jays' Litsch cleared to resume throwing

|
KANSAS CITY -- Blue Jays right-hander Jesse Litsch, who is on the disabled list with right forearm/elbow tightness, has been given the green light to resume throwing after a Monday consultation with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.

"He's going to be heading down to Florida," manager Cito Gaston said. "Everything is good. He's probably going to be throwing off flat ground for about two weeks before he can throw off the mound. It's very good news."

Litsch was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts before going on the DL. He was 13-9 with a 3.58 ERA last season.
