The Blue Jays chose left-handed high school pitcher Jacob Brentz in the 11th round with the 325th overall pick.
Brentz, 18, is 6-foot-2 from Parkway South Senior High School in Missouri.
He's a 2013 Rawlings 1st Team All-American Central -- All Region 1st Team, who can hit 97 mph with his fastball.
Brentz is a two-way standout from the Missouri high school ranks, who's also shown some ability to spin a breaking ball to complement his impressive fastball.
Although the lanky lefty is still pretty raw on the mound, only recently did he find himself pitching after years in the outfield.
