BALTIMORE -- Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos has yet to make any final determinations on the status of his coaching staff for the 2014 season.

Anthopoulos expects to sit down with manager John Gibbons when the season comes to an end to make their final evaluations and then decide which coaches will be back next year.

"We normally wait until the offseason and then we sit down and go through it," Anthopoulos said. "I don't know that we have a date in mind, but get to the offseason, take a few days, Gibby and I will go through it and talk about it. You always try to make those decisions for everybody sooner than later."

Anthopoulos remained non-committal when asked if he expects to make any changes on the staff. Bench coach DeMarlo Hale, pitching coach Pete Walker, hitting coach Chad Mottola, first base coach Dwayne Murphy, third base coach Luis Rivera and bullpen coach Pat Hentgen all joined Gibbons staff prior to the 2013 season.

All of the coaches, with the exception of Hale, had previous ties to the organization. Anthopoulos said he hasn't formed an opinion on who will be back next year because it's not something he really thinks about until the year is over.

"I don't know yet," Anthopoulos said. "Just like with players, I think you get so caught up in the grind of the season, when you take a giant step back and evaluate it all. That's the right way to do it."
