Tolleson to be activated for series vs. Tigers

TORONTO -- Infielder Steve Tolleson will be activated from the paternity list prior to Friday night's game against the Tigers.

Tolleson spent three days on paternity leave to attend the birth of his child. Third baseman Brett Lawrie originally took Tolleson's spot on the roster, but he has since been placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Left-hander Rob Rasmussen will be optioned to Triple-A Buffalo to make room for Tolleson on the 25-man roster. Rasmussen has a 3.18 ERA in 11 1/3 innings with the Blue Jays this season.
