2017Among AL relievers, ranked T-4th in wins (7) and T-5th in IP (77.2)…The seven wins were the most by a Toronto reliever since Jason Frasor had seven in 2009 ... Set career marks in wins, innings, games (73), strikeouts (81), SO/9 (9.39) and opponents' OPS (.633) ... Held left-handed hitters to a .196 AVG (20-for-102) and kept opponents to a .205 average overall ... Allowed a career-high four earned runs in just 0.1 IP (3H, BB, HR) on April 16 vs. BAL ... 2016Made seven separate stints with the Blue Jays in 2016...Over his last final 17 appearances with TOR last season, recorded a 1.69 ERA (3ER/16.0 IP), while striking out 17 batters...Stranded 12 of the 14 runners he inherited as a Blue Jays reliever last year...Has limited LHB to a .167 average (14-84) in his ML career...Four of those 14 hits however, have been home runs...In 37 outings with the Bisons posted a 2.58 ERA (13 ER/45.1 IP), while limiting opposing hitters to a .205 average...Over his final 13 appearances with Buffalo (July 7-Aug. 31) surrendered only two earned runs over 14.1 IP (1.26 ERA)...Was named to all three postseason rosters in 2016 (AL Wild Card, ALDS and ALCS)... Appeared in only one game in the playoffs for Toronto, tossing 0.2 scoreless innings in game one of the ALDS at TEX.
2015Had three separate stints with Toronto in 2015. In 21 outings with the Bisons posted a 1.06 ERA (4ER/34.0IP) while limiting hitters to a .138 average. From June 8-Sept. 4 allowed just 2ER over 17.1 IP in 16 contests (1.04ERA). 18 of his final 23 appearances were scoreless…Six of the seven ER he has allowed over those outings were via a HR. Held hitters to a .248 OBP which ranked as 3rd lowest among the pitching staff behind Osuna (.234) & Lowe (.235). His .137 average vs. LH hitters (7-51) was best on club and 4th best in AL (min. 50 AB's). Was added to postseason roster after Brett Cecil was injured but did not appear in a game.
2014Only player on Buffalo roster to be active throughout the entire 2014 season...Despite not making a start, finished T-2nd on the Bisons in wins (7) and 5th in strikeouts (67)...Was 2nd on club in games pitched (51) behind only Bobby Korecky (55)...Finished T-1st on club in holds (8) and 2nd in games finished (23)...Had multiple strikeouts in 18 of 51 outings... Posted 67 strikeouts in 64.0 IP for a 9.4 SO/9 IP ratio...Posted nine consecutive scoreless outings, July 22-Aug. 15 (11.2 IP, 7 H, 3 BB, 9 SO)...Retired the first batter he faced in 31 of his 51 outings (61%)...Held RH hitters to just one home run in 147 at-bats (.245, 36-147).
2011 Moved to Dunedin (High-A) for all of 2011... TEAM LEADER: Led the club in starts (23) and innings pitched (146.1), and tied for the club lead with Asher Wojciechowski with 11 wins... Won his first three decisions and won two or more consecutive on four occasions, while losing two decisions in a row only once... ROAD WARRIOR: Fared better away from Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, posting a 7-3 record with a 3.66 ERA... At home was 5-3 with 5.16 ERA... Did not walk more than three batters in any of his 27 outings... Now owns a .639 wnning percentage for his career with a 23-13 record. 2010 Moved to Lansing (Low-A) for 2010 making 24 appearances (22 starts)... Led the Lugnuts in wins (9) and was second in starts, ERA (3.98) and innings pitched (120.0). 2009 Began his career with the Blue Jays Gulf Coast entry in the GCL... Made six relief appearances going 2-0 with a 0.71 ERA before moving into the rotation... Made five starts to close out the season, posting a 1-1 record with a 2.25 ERA... Overall batters hit just .150 for the season.
