Guillermo Enrique Martinez... Attended Coral Park High School in Miami, FL... Played shortstop for the University of South Alabama and batted .306 in his junior year (2006)... Founded Pro Hitting Baseball, a baseball academy in Knoxville, TN.


Was originally selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 17th round of the 2003 draft from Coral Park High School (Miami, FL) but did not sign... Was then selected by the Florida Marlins in the 15th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft... Played three seasons in the Florida Marlins system (2006-2008)... Took part in three more campaigns of independent ball (2009-2011).


Served as Minor League hitting and infield coach for the Blue Jays in 2012 and 2013... Was the hitting coach for Advanced-A Myrtle Beach in the Chicago Cubs organization for four years (2014-2017)... Spent the 2018 season as Toronto's hitting coordinator... At 34 years old, became the youngest active hitting coach in the Majors when he was appointed to the position by the Blue Jays on Nov. 27, 2018.
