John P. Schneider...Attended Lawrence Township High School in New Jersey...Caught at the University of Delaware...Named Colonial Athletic Association All-Conference in 2002...Resides in Clearwater, FL with his wife, Jess, and two sons, Gunner and Greyson.


Selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 13th round of the 2002 First-Year Player Draft...Played six seasons (311 games) in Toronto's Minor League system, advancing as high as Triple-A Syracuse in 2007.


Will be his 11th season in a coaching role with the Blue Jays organization... Spent 2008 as hitting coach for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays...Then managed the squad from 2009-2010 and again in 2013...Managed the Vancouver Canadians for half a season in 2011 before leaving the club to attend a family matter...Managed the club again from 2014-2015 and led them to a division-leading 46-30 record and a finals appearance in 2014...Took the reigns as manager of the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts for the 2016 season...Managed the Advanced-A Dunedin Blue Jays to 72-66 record and a Florida State League Championship in 2017 (co-champs with the Palm Beach Cardinals due to Hurricane Irma)...Was named Manager of Double-A New Hampshire in 2018 and led the Fisher Cats to an Eastern League Championship...Will serve in a coaching role at the Major League level for the first time...As Major League Coach, he has a focus on the development of Major League catching.
